I currently have an oil burner for home heating. I would like to add a pellet stove and connect it to the?

heating system. Thus, I would have oil and a pellet stove for heat. How much would this cost, approximately? Anyone have experience with pellet stoves?

There are pellet furnaces avaible, but most pellet stoves do not connect to anything; they just throw heat from the room they are in. It will need to be properly vented – probably out throught the wall. I’d budget around $2K installed, but there are a variety of sizes and types.

If it keeps the house warm enough, the thermostat will keep the oil furnace off until the pellet stove is off and the temp drops.. However, oil is cheap right now. Maybe wait ’til summer.
